About Us!

The question is where to start. We are dairy farmers by trade breeding Stud Holstein Fresian and Jersey Cattle.

In our spare time we enjoy breeding and showing pure bred poultry and waterfowl. We are fortunate enough to have four children comprising of three daughters and a son.

We started to get serious about exhibition poultry when we looked at purchasing a Light Sussex Rooster for our children and have never looked back. We don't profess to know everything about poultry or showing, and are far from the thought that all our birds are the best their respective breed can be. But in saying that we will continue to breed as close to the standard as possible and bring in new stock when needed and have great fun trying to achieve the perfect bird. (if there is such a thing!).

Information about the various breeds of poultry and waterfowl comes from various sources including the Australian Poultry Standards Book (First Edition) grab your self a copy and use it as a check list against your bird.

Our children all have their own poultry and waterfowl breeds so they get to enjoy showing as much as we do and learn the importantce of showmanship and that winning isn't everything, which is all a part of life; this is an important part of the workability of a family hobby. Wouldn't be much fun if only Mum and Dad get to have all the fun!

We do not show with the prospect of winning. We show because we enjoy the past time. If we cover our costs we are lucky, if we don't bad luck and if we come out in front it's a bonus.
